In October 2017, Beaminster Cricket Club achieved the ECB Clubmark Accreditation after an extensive process.

Clubmark empowers cricket clubs to set and maintain high standards; the accreditation is evidence that BCC is run properly by providing the correct environment for all players and members. The award demonstrates that BCC is sustainable and is a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people. To obtain accreditation, BCC provided evidence to meet a series of criteria. This was achieved by loading documents onto an online portal and by demonstrating good practice during a site visit

Accreditation lasts for 3 years at which point the club will complete a re-accreditation exercise. In the intervening 2 years there is a requirement to complete an annual health check to maintain accreditation.

As part of the process, the BCC committee completed some of the following actions:

    - Completed numerous Code of Conducts (Coach, Members, players) and policies (safeguarding, equality)

    - Ensured coaches and managers attended First Aid and Child Protection Courses

    - Ensured Child Welfare Officers and assistant coaches were trained

    - Ensured BCC has a social media presence (Facebook Page)

    - Interacts with the local community through club events including Christmas Lights Event, Whist Drive, quiz and bingo
